Stavroula Piliou, a Harding Scholar in the first year of a PhD in Pathology, has won the Lucy Cavendish College annual Research Blog Competition with her article on "Autoimmunity and neurological diseases - Creating a hope for the future".

In this article, Stavroula explains her research on Multiple Sclerosis (MS), and her work on adeno-associated virus (AAV) gene therapy systems, which aim to create a regenerative immune environment in the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord), offering new hope for MS treatments in the future.
