Timothy Welsh, from the 2019 cohort of Harding Scholars, has now completed his PhD project and graduated from the University of Cambridge with a PhD in Chemistry.
In his time as a PhD scholar, Timothy's work has resulted in over a dozen publications in leading journals such as Nature Communications and PNAS, and he has contributed science to the formation of two spin out companies from the university.
After graduation, he has begun work on the commercialization of some of his recent research and will be leading the scientific development team at an early-stage biotechnology company in Cambridge with the goal of enabling targeted delivery of nucleic acid medicines.
