Maria Grace Burton (2022, Earth Sciences) has published her first lead author paper, in the Proceedings of the Royal Society B journal. The paper "Direct quantification of skeletal pneumaticity illuminates ecological drivers of a key avian trait" features work undertaken by Grace during her MPhil, which has gone on to form the basis of her PhD project.

Grace also presented this work at the 10th International Meeting of the Society of Avian Palaeontology and Evolution (SAPE) at the University of Málaga, Spain.
