Harding Distinguished Postgraduate Scholars Programme

 

Ellamae Lepper, a Harding Scholar in the final year of a PhD in French, has been awarded the Society of Dix-Neuviémistes Postgraduate Prize, for a paper which she recently presented at the society's annual conference.

Ellamae's paper, "Veiling and Unveiling Violence: What the Salon Obscures in Balzac's Autre étude de femme", was based on the third chapter of her thesis on the author Honoré de Balzac.
