Research interest

Probability

My PhD will focus on connections between various two-dimensional random processes. Many of these objects have long been studied by physicists and chemists due to their relevance to fields such as quantum field theory, statistical mechanics, and the study of polymers in solution. However, advances in the area over the last 20 years have rendered many previously hypothesized relationships between these processes amenable to rigorous mathematical investigation.

Who or what inspired you to pursue your research interests?

I was inspired to pursue my research by the courses I took in Part III of the Mathematical Tripos, in which I was introduced to some of the foundational work that has made geometric probability such an active research area today.
