Who or what inspired you to pursue your research interests?

Despite always having broad interests in health, during my undergraduate Adult Nursing degree I witnessed firsthand the importance of public health and the stark impact of underlying health inequalities. This experience also highlighted the difference a proactive, rather than reactive, approach to health and social care can have on health outcomes. I am inspired to positively influence future healthcare and policy by utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach to my research interests. Fundamentally, however, I have been inspired by several excellent academic supervisors and their genuine passion for improving individuals’ lives. I am beyond grateful for their continued support in pursuing research.
