My PhD in Zoology combines research into memory and learning with comparative studies of behaviour across species. I am interested in how nervous systems with similar organisation generate different behavioural responses, and what these similarities and differences reveal about the principles governing neural function. I will do two BBSRC research rotations in my first year which will inform my final project. These rotations will explore these questions through molecular neuroscience and the ecological context of behaviour.
