- Langlands programme
The goal of my research is to understand when arithmetic objects exhibit random behaviour versus structural constraints and to study local-global principles for rational points. More specifically, I am interested in how often one sees counterexamples to the Hasse principle in the family of quadratic twists of a fixed hyperelliptic curve over Q.
Who or what inspired you to pursue your research interests?
I was inspired during my master's thesis, where I studied a nonabelian generalisation of the Cohen–Lenstra heuristics for imaginary quadratic number fields. I enjoyed combining different areas of mathematics and working with Richard Pink, whose approach to doing mathematics shaped how I want to work in the future.
