PhD thesis: Central Spin System Realization and Many-Body Spin Dynamics
Research interests:
- Quantum Devices
- Atomic and Optical Physics
- Many-Body Physics
- Statistical Physics of Interacting Systems
My project will focus on the creation and analysis of ensembles of particles that exhibit nontrivial spin-based interaction dynamics. After creation, equilibrium and out-of-equilibrium states of such an interacting system will be probed. This will be performed optically, using high-resolution spectroscopy. Ultimately, once sufficiently researched, such systems could prove to be useful testbeds for condensed matter physicists, as well as useful components in quantum hardware that relies on quantum correlation.
Who or what inspired you to pursue your research interests?
Growing up in a quaint Serbian village, I was fascinated by the natural world around me. The bustling peculiarities of life in the village lit ablaze within me a curiosity about all scales of the physical world. In atomic physics and quantum devices, I met with phenomena that are both theoretically interesting and applicable to real-life problems. Such a mix is what drew me to the field.
