Jack Peden, a Harding Scholar in the third year of a PhD in Engineering, recently published a paper in Nature Energy. In this paper, Jack and his colleagues developed a reactor to produce carbon nanotube materials and hydrogen from methane (natural gas).

Jack writes, "We hope this work presents an important step towards enabling potentially sustainable fuel and materials production, using hydrocarbon precursors which are abundant, and would otherwise be burned."
